Courtney Howell is an instructor and the director of field education for the Bachelor of Social Work Program at the 花椒直播. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Brigham Young University (2007) and a Master of Social Work from Saint Louis University (2012) with a Clinical Specialization in Gerontology. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Courtney has practiced as a clinical social worker for the past 10 years. Her professional experiences include facilitating direct social work practice and mental health counseling to individuals, families, and groups. She has practiced in a variety of settings, including veterans homes, hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice care. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
She has also served as a clinical assistant professor and director of field education in the social work program at MacMurray College. Her primary areas of teaching are human behavior in the social environment, social work ethics and professionalism, social justice, self-care, gerontology, direct social work practice, and field education. She lives in Lansing, Kan., with her husband Jon and two sets of twins.
