Jim Zimmerman is the director of sport management at the 花椒直播, joining USM
in 2007. Zimmerman has spent more than 15 years in intercollegiate athletics, and
most recently served as an NCAA Division III athletic director.
Prior to that Zimmerman served as assistant athletic director for sports information,
assistant men鈥檚 basketball coach and head golf coach at Jamestown College.
Zimmerman currently serves as faculty athletic representative for USM and is a member
of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Executive Council.
Zimmerman received his Bachelor鈥檚 Degree from Fort Hays State University and his Master
of Sports Science degree from the United States Sports Academy, Daphne, Alabama.
Zimmerman coached high school basketball and football for three years in Kansas and
was a volunteer assistant basketball coach at Montana State University for two years.
An expert in intercollegiate sport and coaching, Zimmerman emphasizes the sociological aspect of sport with class discussion, ethical
dilemmas, and interviewing techniques applicable to the sports industry.
