Lucy McIntyre is an instructor and the director of the Bachelor of Social Work Program at the 花椒直播. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri (2012) and a Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas (2018) with a Specialization in Macro Social Work.
Lucy has professional practice experiences that include program implementation for child welfare and foster care programs to individuals, families, and communities, and major research and advocacy projects. She received the Director of the Year in Kansas Foster Care at Cornerstones of Care award and was the recipient of the 2017-2018 Margo Award for Exceptional Performance in Macro Practicum.
Her primary areas of teaching are policy and advocacy, research methods, social justice, community and organizational social work practice, and diversity and racial equity. She lives in Leavenworth, Kan., and was the co-founder of the Community Pantry, a community sourced food pantry.
