Dr. Phil J. Kilmer, PT, DPT, earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Pre-Medical with a minor in chemistry from Emporia State University. He went on to complete his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he was the liaison and coordinator for the JayDoc PT pro bono clinic.
Following graduation, Dr. Kilmer served Kansas City Public Schools in Missouri for one year as a pediatric physical therapist. He then transitioned to working with the geriatric population in a skilled rehabilitation setting and soon began a partnership with the KUMC DPT program as a clinical instructor. Dr. Kilmer served on KUMC鈥檚 Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education Review Panel as an experienced clinical instructor as well as on KUMC鈥檚 Admissions Board.
Dr. Kilmer began working as an adjunct professor for the Stefani Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in 2018 and has since joined as a full-time instructor. Dr. Kilmer currently serves on the Kansas Physical Therapy Association Board of Directors as the public relations chair and is also a member of the KPTA Reimbursement Committee.
