Student in Drawing I ClassAs an art student at the »¨½·Ö±²¥, you will explore your creative problem-solving ability through 1-on-1 instruction and mentoring from accomplished artists and faculty.

You can design a degree based on your interests with three key concentration areas.

  • Art Therapy
  • Graphic Design
  • Studio Art

You will also benefit from nationally renowned guest artist presentations and exhibits, USM’s 24-hour access to Xavier Studios (drawing/design, painting/printmaking studios, and a Mac computer lab) as well as access to the darkroom and ceramic studio.


Showcase Your Work

You'll have multiple opportunities to showcase your work in USM's student exhibitions. Before graduating, you'll also have a senior show in the USM Goppert Gallery.

Karen Anastos, 2022 graphic design graduate, was selected for the "I Am…" Asian American Visual & Performing Arts Residency presented by the National Association of Asian American Professionals-Kansas City and ArtsKC. Anastos submitted three pieces to the competitive residency, and all were selected.
