The »¨½·Ö±²¥ Education Preparation Provider (EPP) will publish and share data annually that demonstrates the quality of our teacher education programs and graduates to potential students, employers and other P-12 Stakeholders. Specifically, the EPP provides data for P-12 student learning impact, teacher effectiveness, employer satisfaction and completer satisfaction.

All TEP candidates, regardless of program, are assessed using the ETS Praxis Content Licensure Tests; the proprietary Kansas Clinical Assessment Tool (K-CAT) and its Dispositional Assessment. Additionally, all candidates must complete the Kansas Teacher Work Sample (KTWS) during their student teaching semester. This teacher work sample is required by the state for licensure and serves as a measure of a student teacher’s ability to promote student achievement, as well as, documentation that teacher candidates have met minimum national standards, and serves as a source of validation for the USM TEP. The Kansas Association of Private Colleges of Teacher Education (KAPCOTE) has completed validity and reliability studies of this instrument. Click here to learn more about the KTWS
