As a music minor at the »¨½·Ö±²¥, you’ll develop musicianship and performance skills that prepare you for a lifetime of satisfying musical involvement. Knowledgeable faculty will help you to:

The »¨½·Ö±²¥ offers you the opportunity to pursue a Music Performance Minor or a Liberal Arts Music Minor.

What Can I Do with a Music Minor?

The »¨½·Ö±²¥ Music Program is performance-based and directed by professors who are professional musicians dedicated to teaching.

USM music graduates have worked as professional performers in choral music, recital, opera and music theater, jazz, as well as in musical leadership positions in church music, higher education, and community arts organizations.

In addition to preparation for performance careers, our music grads have marketable analytical skills to compete for positions in a variety of industries, like:
