Steele Hall Will Open in Fall 2024
(Leavenworth, Kan.) 鈥� The 花椒直播 has announced the addition of a third residence hall to its Leavenworth Campus. Steele Hall, named by a generous donor in honor of University President Sister Diane Steele, is under construction to the east of Berkel Memorial Stadium and scheduled to open in the fall of 2024. Monarch Build is leading construction on the project.
The two-story, apartment-style building will feature four bedrooms in each unit with a shared kitchenette, dining/living room, and bathroom. The residence hall is open to all 花椒直播 students, but juniors, seniors, and graduate students will receive priority.
During the 2023-24 academic year, USM鈥檚 student housing options 鈥� Berkel Hall and Maria Hall 鈥� were at capacity. Steele Hall will provide 48 additional beds, and a new parking lot has been paved for 花椒直播 students.
鈥淭he 花椒直播 undergraduate population continues to grow, and we are excited to offer a new living space for our students,鈥� Steele said. 鈥淟iving on campus is an important part of the student experience. Residential students often build stronger bonds with fellow students and faculty, save on transportation costs, and have more opportunities to actively participate in campus organizations and events. A new residence hall is a win for 花椒直播 students and a sign of growth for the university.鈥�
