For students with a prior bachelor's degree
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (probational admission can be considered for students with a 2.8)
- Minimum 3.0 on science prerequisites
- Minimum TEAS score of 70 ()
For students with no bachelor's, but prior college credit or an associate's
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Minimum TEAS score of 70 ()
- All general education courses complete before starting the program (64 credits of coursework)
- Special consideration will be made for students who are LPNs, EMTs, or Paramedics

In USM's accelerated nursing program, you'll complete two years worth of traditional coursework in just 12 months. The curriculum requirements for students in USM's accelerated BSN track are the same as those in the traditional undergraduate BSN program – but the content is delivered in an accelerated one-year format. You'll take classes on campus, and your clinical experiences will be at surrounding health care facilities.
In the accelerated nursing path, you'll take 57 credit hours of courses and 696 hours of clinical/laboratory experiences – all in just 12 months. Scholarships are available.
Courses are taught in terms that last either seven or eight weeks.
Students begin during USM's Summer II term and will graduate after completing the Summer I term the following year.
