about our student organizations:
- New members are always welcome (and wanted!). Just email the advisor for meeting details.

Student Government Association (SGA)
The Student Government Association of 花椒直播 has been formed under this constitution for the following purpose to ensure democratic representation and governance. SGA allocates the student activity funds yearly and acts as the voice of the student body. They continually work toward the betterment of life on campus. SGA holds Student Organizations accountable for their actions in accordance with the requirements established in the Policies and Procedures Manual of the Student Government Association. Lastly, SGA disseminates important information to University of Saint Mary students
Art Club
Mission Statement: The Mission of the Art Club is to enhance USM student life through art experiences for all majors and represent USM's mission in the greater community. The Art Club will provide time and space for students to learn new skills and express themselves through the creation and display of original works of art. The goal of this club is to allow individuals to express their own unique views through their personal artworks, while acknowledging and using art and art-making to help identify and serve community needs.
Black Student Union
Mission Statement: 鈥淭o focus on the development of the 花椒直播 community by advancing academic stability, political action, the leadership of black students and their allies, with promoting black culture across all aspects of life鈥

Campus Activities Board (CAB)
Mission Statement: To promote inclusive and fun events for students, led by students, hosting activities such as haunted houses, bowling, mason candle jars.

DPT Manual Therapy Club
Mission Statement: Promote, encourage, and make possible the practice of manual therapy techniques for the students enrolled in the Stefani Doctor of Physical Therapy Program of the University of 花椒直播 as well as educate the students of the 花椒直播 on the profession of Physical Therapy.
Educators Rising
Mission Statement: Educators Rising recognizes the need for a dedicated group of future educators to come together and cultivate their skills of teaching and advocacy. The University of 花椒直播 Educators Rising Collegiate Chapter consists of all students who have a desire to improve education, affect education policy, and support current and future educators in both high school and college. This year's theme is "Discovering Your Potential."
Educators Rising has a programmatic influence of well over 400 chapters at the post-secondary level and all members get the combined resources of Educators Rising and Aspiring Educators, including but not limited to:
- A digital subscription to Kappan magazine 鈥 including guided discussion questions 鈥 to keep future educators involved in the latest research in the education field to reinforce what they are learning in collegiate classrooms
- National competitions to explore additional areas such as public speaking and children鈥檚 book authorship (in both English and Spanish!)
- Eligibility to attend both the Educators Rising and Aspiring Educators conferences to network with other future teachers from across the United States (regional, state, and national levels)
- A tie in to the advocacy work done by Aspiring Educators around issues important to current and future teachers

English Club
Mission Statement: 鈥淭o promote, encourage, and support the students of the 花椒直播 pursuing a degree in English and Literature. To this end, this organization shall extend appreciation for the arts beyond the classroom and foster a sense of community for all involved. Anyone can join, to maintain full membership, students must help participate in the coordinating, scheduling, and execution of the various activities hosted by the English Club.
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
Mission Statement: USM鈥檚 National Champion FBLA chapter is all about fostering leadership and building connections in a relaxed yet dynamic atmosphere for business majors and non-majors alike. Our chapter proudly clinched first place in the Service Project competition at the 2023 FBLA Nationals 鈥 a testament to our commitment to excellence.
FBLA is more than just a club; we're a supportive community of students passionate about helping each other grow in our leadership capacity. Joining FBLA means expanding your network with like-minded peers, alumni, and professionals who share your drive.
Participating in our chapter provides hands-on experiences that boost your resume. Whether you're taking on leadership roles within the chapter, engaging in impactful community projects, or competing on a national stage, these experiences set you on the path to success and help differentiate you in your early career.
Health Care Careers Club
Mission Statement: The three main objectives are to provide students with the opportunity to learn about health care career. to serve those in health care situations, and to provide leadership opportunities to those involved. Open to all individuals.

Mission Statement: 鈥淭o raise awareness of local and global hunger to the students of University of Saint Mary. To this end, we shall work to organize activities to fight hunger in our community while educating students about the plight that so many are afflicted with.
Health & Sport Sciences Club
Mission Statement: To promote the 花椒直播鈥檚 health care professions, to support one another in pursuit of future career and personal endeavors, to give back to the community, and enjoy the journey in the process.
JCOM (Journalism Communication Club)
Mission Statement: A student run journalism organization producing news and digital content鈥 including videos, interviews, podcasts, radio shows, and original photography for the school and surrounding community via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and WordPress, to expand the narrative of daily events through the eyes of the student, and share them with the Spire community.

Pre-Law Club
The USM Pre-Law Club is an organization that provides students with the opportunity to learn more about applying to law school, the law school experience, and law-related careers. The club also provides an opportunity for community, with similar-minded students supporting each other throughout their career at USM.
Social Work Club
Mission Statement: Social workers serve as representatives of the profession, its mission, and its core values. Social workers commit themselves to the profession鈥檚 enhancement and to their own professional conduct and growth. The Social Work Club provides a forum for professional growth, engagement in campus and community activities, and raises awareness on campus about social problems in the community.

- Spiro鈥檚 Cupboard established in Mead 300 in coordination with Campus Ministry Spiro Cupboard
- Fundraiser event 鈥 Dr. Squillace author/book presentation in coordination with Campus Ministry new Kitchen Open House (April 2022)

Spanish Club
Mission Statement: 鈥淭o promote, educate, enlighten and show the students of this school the Spanish Culture, learn the language along the way, and also culture enrichment.

- Spanish website launch on Friday May 4th, 2018 @11:00 (library)
- Spanish conversation tables held every Wednesday starting Feb 14th in the cafeteria (lunch).
Strength and Conditioning Club
Mission Statement: Our Strength and Conditioning Club provides experiential learning opportunities that empower individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their fitness journey and succeed in achieving Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. Through a combination of tailored programming, expert guidance, and educational resources, we aim to cultivate a community of driven individuals committed to optimizing their physical performance and achieving their career and fitness goals. Whether you're an athlete aiming to enhance your performance or an enthusiast pursuing a career in strength and conditioning, our club is your partner in realizing your full potential.
Student Nurses Association
Mission Statement: 鈥淭o assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education in order to provide for the highest quality of health care. To provide programs representative of fundamental interests and concerns to nursing students. To aid in the development of the whole person, including his/her professional role, his/her responsibility for health care of people in all walks of life.

Student Occupational Therapy Association
Mission Statement: The Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) is a non-profit student organization that serves to promote professional development through education, leadership opportunities, networking, volunteer activities, social activities and fundraising.
Theology
Mission Statement: 鈥淭o build a community among all students interested in theology and ministry and to provide opportunities for service, socials, and to grow in theological knowledge. Active members shall consist of full-time, registered 花椒直播 students in good academic, financial, and disciplinary standing with a minimum grade point average of 2.0.

Wednesday Murder Club
Mission Statement: The primary goal of the Wednesday Murder Club is to provide real-life experiences in various criminology professions. This club's goal is to prepare each individual for the challenges they may face in their career and provide critical knowledge and thinking skills for each member to use in the future. They can apply these skills to any agency or program they attend and benefit our future society.
